Suan Luang Rama IX Royal Botanical Garden

The concept and construction of Suan Luang Rama IX Royal Botanic Garden were a joint effort between the private and public sectors. Generous financial supports, in the form of donations, obtained from public all over the country. The Garden was established in honor of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the auspicious occasion of 60th Birthday Anniversary in 1987 and His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej officially opened the Garden on December 1, 1987.

The  objectives of the Garden are 

1. To provide a venue of recreation.
2. To maintain and conserve a collection of native and exotic plant species as the botanical garden in Thailand.
3. To encourage botanical academic work and research, as well to educate students and the general public about botany.
4. To build up awareness for conservation of natural resources 
5. To collaborate with charity organizations and governmental agencies for public benefit

Located in Nong Bon subdistrict, southeast of Bangkok, the Garden covered an area of 200 acres (500 rais). The maintenance of the Garden and its routine activities were operated by the staff of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and partially supported by the Suan Luang Rama IX Foundation.

Transportation

From the hotel to the Conference Venue locating at Suan Luang Rama IX Royal Botanic Garden, participants can travel by taxi or using various public transportations such as,  

1. Bus      Bus. No.11 and air-conditioned bus No.11 will use Chaloem Phra Kiat Rama IX Road as its route. Participants can get off at Suan Luang Rama IX Royal Botanic Garden, Gate 4 (Dao Rueang Gate). 

2. BTS skytrain, participants can get off at Udomsuk Station. Then walk through Udomsuk market to Soi Sukhumvit 103 (Udomsuk), and then take a taxi or motorcycle taxi to Suan Luang Rama IX Royal Botanic Garden.
